Services Offered
I'm available for appointments in person, over video Telehealth, or over the phone! In person appointments are conducted at our Oakland, NJ office.
Medication Management
I take a collaborative approach with my patients to find the right treatment, monitor effectiveness, and make adjustments as needed. The goal is to help you feel better while minimizing side effects, taking your opinions into consideration, and supporting your long-term well-being. I am licensed to prescribe controlled substances!
Psychiatric Assessment
Your initial assessment includes a detailed review of symptoms, mental health history, medical history, and treatment goals. This helps create an individualized plan designed around your needs and priorities.
Wellness Strategies & Preventative Mental Health
I discuss evidence-based lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress management, exercise, nutrition, and healthy routines that can support emotional wellness, resilience, and overall quality of life.
Therapy
While I don't offer traditional 60-minute weekly therapy appointments, I do incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches into my appointments. Below are some approaches that I frequently use:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I can use cognitive behavioral strategies to help you identify irrational thoughts and negative thinking, and teach you skills to reframe them!
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
I can help you identify problems you're currently experiencing in your life, and work with you to find solutions to combat them!
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
I can use techniques such as stimulus control, sleep restriction, and education about sleep hygiene to help treat your insomnia!
Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT)
I can help you improve your social relationships and minimize circadian rhythm disruption to help stabilize your mood!
Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
I don't conduct formal DBT sessions or group therapy, but I can teach you DBT skills to help with distress tolerance and emotional regulation!
Unstructured Talk Therapy
Sometimes people just need someone to talk to. If you want to vent about something going on in your life, I can help you by providing reflection and insight!

My Specialties

Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is one of my favorite conditions to treat and a primary area of professional interest. I enjoy helping patients understand their diagnosis, recognize early warning signs, and find treatment strategies that support stability. I don’t shy away from complicated cases!
Depression
Prior to becoming a PMHNP, I conducted research focused on treatment-resistant depression. While many patients improve with first-line treatments, I am also comfortable exploring alternative strategies when symptoms persist despite multiple medication trials.
Developmental Disabilities
When I was an RN, I worked for the National Institute for People with Disabilities - New Jersey (NIPD-NJ). Working at this organization gave me the opportunity to work directly with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
